This position is responsible for leading mechanical teams (Rigging, Fitting, Boiler making) to execute mechanical repairs, maintenance, and installations while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency
Key Performance Areas
- Directs daily work schedules and allocate tasks to team members.
- Leads and supervises the day-to-day activities of the mechanical team inclusive of contractors in a safe and efficient operations.
- Performs mechanical maintenance, and repairs on plant equipment and machinery.
- Participates in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical faults.
- Performs mechanical fitting, maintenance, and repairs on plant equipment and machinery.
- Manages tools store and efficient operation.
- Provide ongoing leadership and mentoring to the mechanical teams.
- Adherence and compliance with Company’s safety standards, procedures, and policies by Maintaining a safe work environment and effectively manage risks.
- Participates in departmental initiatives, meetings, investigations.
Technical Competencies
- Strong mechanical knowledge.

Qualification & Experience
- Recognised Trade Certificate Qualification.
- Valid Light Duty Vehicles Driver’s License.
- 8 years’ experience in Mechanical Maintenance of fixed infrastructure including ball and sag mills, crushers, conveyors, flotation cells and pumps, infrastructure.
- Full understanding of Botswana MQWM regulations and safety standards.
